High School classes available to home schooled students as well as fully enrolled students. Email Pamela Showalter at info@stnicholasacademy.org or call at 404.468.6212 to setup an appointment to visit the school. To be considered for enrollment, the completed registration and application forms and transcripts must be submitted. Upon receiving the completed submission an admissions interview will be scheduled with the student and his/her family.

Natural Habitat for Frogs
Finally, St. Nicholas Academy's habitat for frogs project is finished. In a corner of the school's garden we created a small pond ranging from 3 ft. to 6 in. A solar powered pump keeps the water circulating and oxygenated by activating a small waterfall every time the sun shines. More Photos Here!

Greek Dancing

KSU JEHP Student Qualifies as National Merit Semifinalist
Benjamin N. Johnson, 17, of Marietta, has been named a National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalist with a score of 232 out of a possible 240 on the 2006 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, placing him in the top 1% of students taking the test. Continued Here

Georgia State Honors Chorus
Six students from St. Nicholas participated in Georgia State University Honors Chorus at the Rialto Center for the Arts downtown on September 14 along with students from 12 other high schools across the state.

Bountiful Harvest
Students at St. Nicholas Academy show off the fruit of their labors -

St. Nicholas Photo Story Contest
Earlier this semester junior high and high school students assembled to present their Multi Media Photo Story at the first annual St. Nicholas Student Photo Contest. This contest allowed students to work in groups to tell a fictional story through pictures, text and music. Judges were present to pick the presentation that best told the story. First prize winner recieved a free lunch at Grant Central Pizza and a two bags of candy. Second place received locker shelves and one bag of candy, while third place received one bag of candy. Lower and Middle School team up to paint bird houses
On February 18th, students from grades 5th thru 8th teamed up to paint bird and bat houses for the Grant Park Conservancy.

Students Celebrate Arbor Day by planting trees in Grant Park
Students of St. Nicholas Academy planted trees in Grant Park in honor of Arbor Day, a national celebration that encourages tree planting. See the slideshow!

Students Celebrate Valentines Day
On February 14th, students exchanged valentines and candy at their monthly PTO sponsored lunch. The Valentine's day gifts were made possible by the St. Nicholas Student Government, which raised over $100.

Sub-Continental Divide Wathershed Project
Our 5th and 6th grade art class recently took part in a fascinating mural project. This gigantic mural on DeKalb Avenue marks the Eastern Subcontinental Divide that runs along the edge of the Lake Claire neighborhood. View pictures of our students in action.

Thanksgiving Assembly a Success!
The 5th annual St. Nicholas Thanksgiving assembly was a huge success on Tuesday afternoon. Many of the students participated by singing songs and reading select writings that relate to Thanksgiving. Following the presentations the students ate pie! See the pictures!

St. John's Youth Group Disco Fundraiser
On
Saturday, January 19th, the youth group from St. John the Wonderworker
Church held its annual dance fundraiser. This year all of the proceeds
went to victims of hurricane Katrina. See the pictures!

Frog UpdateWe have frogs! They may have come naturally, but they may have also come as tadpoles in a Styrofoam cup full of stream water. The pond is looking much more wild, see it for yourself.

The Annual Harvest Festival
Every year, members of the parish and of the school get together out in the country to share good food, games, and live music under the clear autumn sky. This year's festival featured a hay ride, which certainly helped us all appreciate the comforts of modern transportation. View Slide Show!
